Charges Against College of DuPage "Unlikely"
A Grand Jury subpoena remains in place for the college's financial records, but the one issued to the foundation has been withdrawn.

The DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office has been investigating spending at the College of DuPage, but charges are unlikely, the Daily Herald is reporting.
“Grand jury subpoenas for financial records were issued about two weeks ago to both the Glen Ellyn-based community college and its fundraising arm, the College of DuPage Foundation,” the Daily Herald reported Monday. “The state’s attorney’s office has since withdrawn the subpoena issued to the foundation, sources said, and decided not to pursue criminal charges.”
The College of DuPage has been criticized lately for a number of incidents.

In January, the school voted to send the community college’s president Robert Breude away with a $762,000 buyout. That was funded by taxpayers.
Then there was the business dealings at the college radio station and a move to censure a board member.

Earlier in March, it was revealed that nearly $200,000 was charged in food and liquor costs at the college’s fine dining restaurant, Waterleaf.
And last week, the college allegedly awarded signage contracts to a foundation memberwithout going to bid for the jobs.
