Christmas 2017: What's Open, Closed In Hinsdale-Clarendon Hills
Several services and businesses will be closed on Christmas or Christmas Eve.
HINSDALE-CLARENDON HILLS, IL — It's just days away from the Christmas holiday, and that means people will be out and about shopping, picking out presents and visiting family. While some people — including employees at some retail stores, as well as emergency responders — will be working on the holiday, many area businesses and offices will be closed.
Here's list of what's open and what's closed in Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills for Christmas 2017.
- Post office: Closed
- Federal offices: Closed
- Village of Clarendon Hills: Village offices will be closed Dec. 22 and Dec. 25. Garbage collection will be delayed a day.
- Hinsdale Township High School District 86: Closed. Students return from winter break on Jan. 9.
- District 181: Closed. Students return from winter break on Jan. 8.
- Hinsdale Public Library: Closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
- Clarendon Hills Public Library: Closed Dec. 25 and Dec. 26.
- Banks: Closed
- Gas stations: Open
- Retail stores: Some will be closed, some will be open, but check the hours before you go.
