Construction In Hinsdale Continues, Road Closures Begin

Construction in Hinsdale continues, and several streets are closed and detours are in effect.

HINSDALE, IL — Construction in Hinsdale continues, and several streets are closed and detours are in effect. According to the police department, the Oak Street Bridge is closed; Chicago Avenue from Oak Street to County Line Road is closed; and construction has started on Ogden Avenue.

Drivers should use construction detours. According to the village, it began implementing the Master Infrastructure Plan in 2009. For 2018, the Village will be implementing two separate construction projects. They are the North Side Infrastructure Project and the South Side Infrastructure Project. During this project, roads in the village deemed as in "poor" or "failing" condition will be either resurfaced or reconstructed, along with improvements to the sewer and gutter system.

If you would like to receive Construction Activity Notices via email, contact Al Diaz, Assistant Village Engineer at adiaz@villageofhinsdale.org. The village said construction began in early 2018, with work expected to be completed later in the year.
