D-86 Board President Congratulates Election Winners

President Camden and two other incumbents lost in the election.

HINSDALE – Kevin Camden, president of the Hinsdale High School District 86 board, congratulated the winners in this week’s election at Tuesday's school board meeting.

Camden and incumbents Marty Turek and Tamakia Edwards lost in Tuesday’s election.

“I would like to thank all of the candidates who ran in the election, and I would like to congratulate on behalf of the board all of those who were elected,” Camden said. “I believe all four are here tonight. They are. Congratulations to you folks. In not less than 28 days, you will be up here. We wish you the best.”

The winners are newcomers Jeff Waters, Peggy James, Debbie Levinthal and Terri Walker.

Camden also congratulated the winners on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

“Not getting re-elected ends 16 straight years of volunteering on either a school foundation board or board of education, and I am proud of the work I completed and the people I was fortunate to meet during that time,” Camden said.

The winners take office May 3.
