• Theodore R. Boedeker, 85, of Burr Ridge; Former president of Tricon Industries of Downers Grove. Services were private.
• Edward H. Kahn, of Oak Park and Burr Ridge, passed away Sept. 7. The former Chicago lifeguard was credited with saving 21 lives, and was also a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He was also in the Army Reserves until 1964.
• Virginia Farmer Gordon, RN, 84, of Burr Ridge and Hinsdale. A funeral service was held at Grace Episcopal Church.
• Dominic Lombardo, passed away Sept. 7. The U.S. Army veteran taught for 39 years at Albert G.Lane Technical High School as a history teacher.
• Gene A. Miley, 73, of Hinsdale. Memorials to the Salvation Army appreciated.
