District 181 Invites Community to Learn About Construction Plans for New HMS
A session open to the entire community is slated for Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Submitted by District 181.
Community Consolidated School District 181 is inviting the community to attend upcoming events to learn more about plans for the construction of a new Hinsdale Middle School, following successful passage of a November referendum. District leaders, the architect, and the construction manager will be present to discuss the construction timeline, design, parking, budget, and other key aspects of the construction process.
Immediate residential and business neighbors of HMS are being invited to a first event specific to their needs, with emphasis on topics like site logistics, with project leaders explaining each phase of construction that will be taking place near their homes and downtown storefronts. That event will be held Thursday, December 8 at HMS, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. All community members are invited to an event on Tuesday, January 24 at HMS, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Village of Hinsdale representatives are scheduled to attend both events, including President Tom Cauley.

Superintendent Dr. Don White notes, "We look forward to proactively discussing this project with our community now, so that once the work proceeds and is visible starting in the spring, residents and local businesses will be informed of our plans and the ways we will continue to communicate over the coming months. We are also eager to welcome any feedback they may have, and address their questions."
The District notes that all community members are welcomed, and no advance registration is required. Detailed information about the project is available on the District's website at www.d181.org > Our District > HMS Construction.
