Stan Cook and the staff at HCS Family Services
Is the nominee considered and “essential workers”?
Yes
What does the nominee do for work?
Stan is the executive director at HCS Family Services, the organization that provides food to those in our community who are food insecure.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
Stan and the staff have had to essentially double food distributions at our pantries, while remaining cognizant of all the social distancing requirements. That has required them to find new sources of food, and to design new distribution models to keep the staff and the clients safe.
What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
All of the staff have showed dedication beyond their job descriptions helping neighbors who are food insecure feed their families during this time of extreme stress and uncertainty.
