Drugs, Clinic Harassed: Hinsdale Cops

Speeding driver was found with drugs, but charges are pending, police say.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released their latest blotter Tuesday. Here is information from the reports:

Drug possession

  • A person who was stopped for speeding was found to be in possession of an open container of alcohol, marijuana and a suspected controlled substance in pill form. The stop was about 1 a.m. Sunday at 55th and Quincy streets. Charges are pending the results of a lab report.

  • Hinsdale Psychiatry, 736 N. York Road, reported Wednesday that it received repeated telephone calls of a harassing nature. The business said it knows who is making the calls.

Fraudulent call

  • A resident in the 500 block of North York Road received a phone call Friday from a person claiming to be from the Social Security Administration. The suspect requested personal information. The case is pending.

Identity theft

  • A resident in the 700 block of South Washington Street was the victim of an identity theft Friday. A person opened a credit card using the victim's identity and made purchases totaling $252.

Outdoor lights damaged

  • Four strings of outdoor lights in a back yard in the 200 block of East Ninth Court were damaged. It happened between 5 p.m. June 20 and 8 p.m. June 23. The damage was estimated at $200.

Park damage

  • Two people threw rocks at exterior lights about 2 a.m. Friday near bathrooms at Robbins Park, 303 W. Seventh St. The suspects were gone when officers arrived. Two light fixtures and an electric meter were damaged.
