DUI, Underage Drinking, Home Burglaries: Hinsdale Police Blotter
Two home burglaries seemed very similar.

DUI
- Jesus Alvarado III, 25, was arrested for driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding in the early hours of Nov. 8. Alvarado refused to take a breathalyzer test.

- An 18-year-old man, who Hinsdale police chose not to name in their report, was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol Nov. 4. Police responded to a report of a suspicious noise on the 200 block of E. Walnut St. and found the man on someone’s back patio. He was released to a parent and referred to a juvenile officer.
Identity theft
- An unknown person used a resident’s identity to complete several credit card applications. Neither party is named in reports, but the victim lives on N. Washington St.
Burglaries and thefts

- One woman’s car window was shattered and her purse stolen after she parked in a lot at 5901 S. County Line Rd. In addition to her purse, which is valued at $260, a $600-cellphone, credit cards, an ID, and approximately $15 in cash were stolen from the car.
- Another woman’s home on Bonnie Brae Rd. was broken into Nov. 3. After being gone for about an hour in the afternoon, she came home to find her back sliding door forced open and her house rummaged through. Known missing items including jewelry and cash from her bedroom.
- In another, similar incident, a woman living on S. Adams St. came home Nov. 2 after having been gone for about two hours to find her side door forced open and her house intruded. Jewelry was missing from her bedroom.
- A student at Hinsdale Central High School reported her cellphone, valued at $600, as being stolen from a cafeteria while she was away for five minutes.
