DUIs, Cars Damaged: Hinsdale Cops

Two men were arrested on DUI charges in recent days.

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale Police Department has released its latest blotter. Here is information from the police reports:

DUI

  • Svetlozar Kolev, 22, of Bloomingdale, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at York Road and Ogden Avenue on charges of DUI and speeding more than 35 mph over the limit. Kolev refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
  • Isaac Castaneda Huitz, 28, of Summit, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Sunday on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, possession of open alcohol and improper lane use. Huitz submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. An open container of brandy was found on the front passenger seat. Huitz was released and given a date to appear in court.

  • The passenger side of a car was scratched between 5:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Friday while parked in the parking deck in the 100 block of South Garfield Avenue.
  • A car was hit while it was parked between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Bob O Link Drive near While Foods. The rear driver's side fender of the car was damaged.

Suspended license

  • Jorge Luis Manjarrez-Martinez, 27, of Villa Park, was cited about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Route 83 and Chicago Avenue on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and driving an uninsured vehicle. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

Police report information is provided by local police departments. Charges are not evidence of guilt. They are a record of police actions on a given day, and persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
