The 48-year-old left the park to go meet someone, police said. Here are more details.
A 48-year-old Hinsdale man is headed to court after police say he left his children unsupervised in a park.
Stephen D. Tracy, of the 700 block of West Hinsdale Avenue, was charged with endangering the life or health of a child following an incident at 5:41 p.m. March 28 in Stough Park. A witness told police that Tracy's children, ages 6 and 7, were left unattended or unsupervised in the park for about 30 minutes.
According to police, Tracy left the area to meet somebody at a residence near the park. Although Tracy's own residence is across the street from the south side of Stough Park, police did not disclose where in the two acre-plus park his children were at the time of the incident.
