Fire Damages House In Hinsdale

Blaze travels through the attic. No one is injured.

HINSDALE, IL — A fire damaged a house early Friday evening at 812 Phillippa St. in Hinsdale, authorities said.

When Hinsdale firefighters arrived, they confirmed the fire was traveling through the attic and that all the occupants were outside, according to a Hinsdale Fire Department news release.

Firefighters quickly put out the fire, then began the ventilation process, the release said. The fire did not damage other properties.

The house sustained damage estimated at $100,000, but no one was injured, according to the news release.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it appears accidental, officials said.
