Four High Schoolers Raise over $1300 to Make Masks
Ani Girish, Alex Aschinberg, Shrihan Atluri, and Shi Chen have come together to raise money to get masks for their community.

A group of high schoolers who owned a custom T-shirt company wanted to give back to the community. Ani Girish, Alex Aschinberg, Shrihan Atluri, and Shi Chen started a GoFundMe page to get money to make
custom reusable cloth masks for their community. Ani had started the clothes businesses over a year ago using a website called Teespring. He called it Ovrwear. Unfortunately, they did not have enough capital from their business to start their project. They have designed the masks to give them out to different organizations and retirement homes. "We plan to get face masks and to donate
them to organizations around Illinois," said Ani. "This will lead to more sick patients and medical workers having more of the higher grade masks so that the people who put their lives at stake for us don't have to struggle with helping the world." Their goal was originally to get $1,000 in 1 week, but they have beat that in just a matter of days. Understanding that many people are going through tough times and won't be able to donate, they just ask to spread the word. "If people can't donate we just ask them to spread the word to friends and family," said Alex.
