Hidden Pistol, Sleeping Behind Wheel: Hinsdale Cops
Police find pistol hidden in man's car during traffic stop, report says.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale police released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:
Hidden pistol
- Marc Vondel Whitfield Jr., 25, of Hammond, Ind., was arrested about 9 p.m. Monday at Route 83 and Oak Brook Road on a misdemeanor charge of unlawful use of a weapon (firearm in vehicle or concealed). He was stopped for an equipment violation. When police conducted a search of his car, they found a pistol under the front passenger seat. He was released and given a date to appear in court.

- Shant J. Taroyan, 42, of Morton Grove, was arrested about 3 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. According to a police report, Taroyan was in possession of plastic baggies containing white powdery substances that tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI
- Timmothy T. Williams, 42, of Chicago, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Elm Street and Fuller Road on a charge of DUI. According to a police report, officers were called because Williams was unresponsive behind the wheel of a running car. He submitted to testing that indicated he was over the legal limit. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
- Lizbeth Marie Sabater, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 7 a.m. Sunday in the 10 block of East Ayres Street on charges of DUI, improper window tinting, no valid driver's license, driving a car on a sidewalk and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police were called about a car that had driven off the road and into a snowbank. Sabater was seen sleeping behind the wheel. She refused testing to determine her blood-alcohol content. She was released and given a date to appear in court.
Suspended license

- Armando Quinonez, 40, of Mount Prospect, was cited about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and 55th Street on charges of driving with a suspended license and driving with one headlight. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
Damage
- An unknown object struck a window and caused it to shatter at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of South Washington Street.
