HINSDALE, IL - The village of Hinsdale will celebrate the Fourth of July with a parade beginning at 10 a.m. on the holiday this year. Here's what to know about the event as it takes shape.
Street Closure
Garfield Street will be closed to traffic as early as 8:30 a.m. and surrounding streets may be closed periodically.

Where To Park
Hinsdale Park & Recreation officials urge parade participants to park on Park or Washington and enter at the rear of the street.

Parade Lineup
The parks' website has the entire parade lineup and where each float is set to set up before 9:30 a.m.
Schedule Of Events
The parade will step off at 10 a.m. from Sixth Street and Garfield. The parade then ends at Sixth and Grant Street, and celebrations will continue at Burlington Park.
Family Festival
A family festival will begin at Burlington Park at 11 a.m. after the parade. Events planned at the festival include and arts & crafts fair, food vendors, kids activities, the Hinsdale Rotary Turtle Race and West Suburban Band Concert, which will begin at 1 p.m.
Fireworks
In previous years, Hinsdale residents have had opportunities to view fireworks set off by both the Hinsdale Golf Club and at Prospect Park in Clarendon Hills. There's also a fireworks show planned in nearby Burr Ridge.
