Hinsdale Advances To Championship Game Of Little League World Series Regional Tournament

HINSDALE, IL — The Hinsdale 12-year-old boys' Little League team will advance to the Championship game in the Little League World Series Great Lakes Regional Tournament. The Hinsdale team faced off against Ohio-West Side on Wednesday, and won 5-4 to earn a spot in the Championships.
According to the Little League website, Hinsdale trailed 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth inning, but scored four runs to win the game. Previously, Hinsdale faced off against Kentucky-Eastern Lexington and won 5-2 which placed them in the winner's bracket against Ohio.
You can watch the Championship game on ESPN at 4 p.m. (Central) Saturday, Aug. 12. Their opponent in the Championship match hasn't been determined yet.

Other teams besides Illinois, Ohio and Kentucky include Indiana's New Albany Little League, Michigan's Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores Little League and Wisconsin's Wausau National Little League.
The Hinsdale team roster includes Evan Phillips, Andres Waelter, Emerson Eck, Reece Kolke, Jakobi Lange, Ben Oosterbaan, Max Williams, Grant Davis, Joe Boggs, Max Merlo, Charlie Bergin and Lucas Smith.
The Great Lakes Regional Tournament takes place in Westfield, Indiana.
