Hinsdale Central And South Swimmers Take Honors

HINSDALE, IL — Members of the boys swimming and diving teams from Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South turned in outstanding performances at state over the weekend, according to a District 86 news release. Below are some of the highlights.

• Nolan Lahmann, Alexander Cho, Cullen Cochlan and Erkan Ozgen from Central — first place and state champs in the 200-yard medley relay
• Tommy Matulis from South — seventh place in the 100-yard breaststroke
• Michael Benington from Central — eighth place in the 200-yard individual medley
• Alexander Cho from Central — eighth place in the 100-yard breaststroke
• John Tischke, Erkan Ozgen, Cullen Cochlan and Alex Daw from Central — 10th place in the 200-yard freestyle relay
• Alex Daw from Central — 11th place in the 200-yard individual medley
• Michael Benington from Central — 11th place in the 100-yard backstroke
• Michael Benington, John Tischke, Alex Daw and Cullen Cochlan from Central — 11th place in the 400-yard freestyle relay
• Will Gallagher from South — 12th place in the 200-yard freestyle
• Nolan Lahmann from Central — 12th place in the 100-yard backstroke
