Hinsdale And Clarendon Hills See Small Hikes In Virus Cases
No new coronavirus deaths are reported in either village.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills each saw rates of increase in coronavirus cases of less than 1 percentage point, according to county agencies.
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,644 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, up 10 from a week before, or a 0.4 percent hike. The village saw a 0.3 percent hike the previous week.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 872 as of Sunday, up four from a week before, or a 0.4 percent increase. The village saw a 0.1 percent hike the previous week.

The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.
Hinsdale saw no new coronavirus deaths in the last week, with the total still at 60 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths stayed the same in the last week, at 13. Hinsdale's number is largely driven by a coronavirus outbreak at ManorCare Hinsdale nursing home earlier in the crisis.

As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,385,245, up 0.3 percent from a week earlier, according to the state Department of Public Health. The number of confirmed deaths so far is 22,949.
Nationally, 33.2 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported, up 0.3 percent from the week before, according to the Centers for Disease Control. A total of 594,381 people have died from the virus in the United States.
