Hinsdale DUI Suspect Hits Pedestrian: Cops

HINSDALE, IL — A Hinsdale man was accused of drunken driving after he hit a pedestrian Thursday night at Madison and 57th streets, according to a Hinsdale police report.

Gregory M. Kentra, 46, was arrested on charges of DUI, failure to yield at a crosswalk and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

The accident happened about 9 p.m. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital for injuries suffered in the accident, police said. The report did not describe the extent of the injuries.

Kentra refused testing to determine his blood-alcohol content, police said. He was released and given a date to appear in court.
