Hinsdale Police and Fire Departments Plan Open House for October
This is the third year the departments will prioritize smoke alarm safety.

In an effort to perpetuate a safe environment in the Village of Hinsdale, the Hinsdale Police and Fire Departments are co-hosting an open house Saturday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their 121 Symonds Dr. headquarters.
The open house, which is an annual event, will focus on the final segment of a three-year initiative to prioritize smoke alarm safety in the village. The theme is “Don’t Wait, Check the Date,” and the message both departments want to relay, according to a release, is the importance of replacing smoke alarms every 10 years.
Both departments have free events planned for the public.
