Hinsdale Police Reports: Heroin Possession, DUI, Retail Theft

Hinsdale Police Department reported crimes through June 28.

Someone reported she was rear ended June 22 while driving on Ogden Avenue at Madison Street. She described the other driver as an older male with gray hair wearing a white button down shirt. A witness described the offending vehicle as either a white or silver car, possibly a Ford Taurus. The collision caused the victim to collide with the vehicle in front of her.

A Whole Foods employee saw someone leave the store with a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka without paying for it June 23 at 500 E Ogden Ave.

Juan A Marinez, 20 of the 7200 block of S Springfield Avenue in Chicago, was stopped June 24 for speeding at County Line Road and 60th Street. Police report Martinez was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he refused testing to determine BAC. An open can of beer was located during the vehicle impound report. Martinez was charged with DUI- alcohol, speeding and illegal transportation of alcohol and released to appear in court.

Blake Michael Rogers, 27 of the 1800 block of Goss Court in Plainfield, was seen slouched at the wheel with the driver’s door open while stopped in traffic June 25 at Chicago and Garfield avenues. Rogers was seen to be under the influence of alcohol, and he submitted to testing that determined he was over the legal limit. He was charged with DUI- alcohol and released to appear in court.

Police were dispatched to check the well-being of a person sleeping in his vehicle June 25 at 56th Street and Garfield Avenue. Victor G Gonzalez, 24 of the 1200 block of 64th Street in La Grange Highlands, was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and he refused testing to determine BAC. He was charged with DUI- alcohol and released to appear in court.

Two teenagers, one from Hinsdale and one from Burr Ridge, were observed to be under the influence of alcohol June 26 at Lincoln and 6th streets. They were each charged with unlawful use of alcohol by a person under 21 and released to appear in court.

Andrea J Nunez, 22 of the 600 block of Edison Avenue in Aurora, was stopped for improper lane use and failing to signal June 26 in the 900 block of York Road. Nunez was observed to be under the influence of alcohol, and she submitted to testing that determined she was over the legal limit. Drug paraphernalia and a green leafy substance that field tested positive for cannabis were found during the vehicle impound report. Nunez was charged with DUI- alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, improper lane use and failure to signal when required and released to appear in court.

Hospital security found a suspected controlled substance June 20 in a patient’s possession at Hinsdale Hospital. Police field tested the substance that tested positive for heroin. Luke D Lekousis, 26 of the 3200 block of Harrison in Brookfield was charged with a felony complaint of possession of a controlled substance and was taken to DuPage County Jail upon his release from Hinsdale Hospital. Lekousis was also charged with retail theft from two previously reported cases.
