Hinsdale Police Seek Retail Theft Suspect

Hinsdale police are on the lookout for someone suspected of retail theft at a store in the village's downtown.

Police are actively investigating a Sept. 30 incident where two pairs of earrings valued at $230 were stolen from a store on the first block of South Washington Street. The incident occurred sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 1:40 p.m., according to a police report.

Members of Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce are aware of the incident and are working with police to identify a possible suspect, according to an e-mail from Jan Anderson, Hinsdale Chamber president and CEO.
