Hinsdale Sees Lower Number Of New Virus Cases: Agencies
No new coronavirus deaths are reported in Hinsdale or Clarendon Hills.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale and Clarendon Hills each saw lower number of new coronavirus cases in the last week, according to county agencies.
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,649 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, up five from a week before, or a 0.3 percent hike. The village saw 10 new cases a week earlier.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 874 as of Sunday, up two from a week before, or a 0.2 percent increase. The village saw four new cases a week earlier.

The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.
Hinsdale saw no new coronavirus deaths in the last week, with the total still at 60 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths stayed the same in the last week, at 13. Hinsdale's number is largely driven by a coronavirus outbreak at ManorCare Hinsdale nursing home earlier in the crisis.

As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 93.5 coronavirus cases per thousand people since the pandemic's beginning. The figure compares to 81.5 in Darien, 88.2 in La Grange Park, 91.6 in DuPage County, 94.2 in Elmhurst, 98.8 in Western Springs, 99.9 in Clarendon Hills, 102 in suburban Cook County, 104.2 in Burr Ridge and 120.8 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands).
As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,387,297, up 0.1 percent from a week earlier, according to the state Department of Public Health. The number of confirmed deaths so far is 23,050.
Nationally, 33.3 million cases of the coronavirus have been reported, up 0.3 percent from the week before, according to the Centers for Disease Control. A total of 596,971 people have died from the virus in the United States.
