Hinsdale Virus Rate Levels Off Last 2 Weeks: Agencies
No new coronavirus deaths are reported in Hinsdale or Clarendon Hills.
HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale saw the same rate of increase in coronavirus cases for the last two weeks, according to county health agencies.
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,559 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, up 32 from a week before, or a 2.1 percent hike. The previous week, it saw the same percentage increase.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 838 as of Sunday, up 10 from a week before, or a 1.2 percent increase. The village saw a 1 percent hike the previous week.

The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.
Hinsdale saw no new coronavirus deaths in the last week, with the total still at 60 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths also stayed the same, at 12. Hinsdale's number is largely driven by a coronavirus outbreak at ManorCare Hinsdale nursing home earlier in the crisis.

The figure compares to 77.8 in Darien, 80.7 in La Grange Park, 87.4 in DuPage County, 88.1 in Western Springs, 90.4 in Elmhurst, 95.7 in Clarendon Hills, 96.3 in suburban Cook County, 100.8 in Burr Ridge and 111.6 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands).

As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,321,033, up 1.7 percent from a week earlier. The coronavirus has claimed the lives of 21,826 state residents.
Nationally, 31.8 million people have caught the virus, up 1.3 percent from the week before. A total of 568,237 people have died from the virus in the United States.
