Hit-and-Run, Car Burglary and More: Hinsdale Police Blotter

Three DUIs, a burglary and a hit-and-run all made appearances on this week’s Hinsdale police blotter. Read more about the citations below.
Hit-and-Run
- A man reported Nov. 11 that between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., his car’s fender was damaged on the driver’s side. He said he was legally parked on the street when it happened. Police are still looking into the incident, which happened on the 700 block of S. Adams St.
DUIs

- Araceli Hernandez Guerrero, 31, was arrested Nov. 11 when she failed to yield to police when they approached her car after she left the scene of a hit-and-run accident in Burr Ridge. She was arrested at the intersection of Garfield Ave. and Chicago Ave.
- David Conner, 50, was stopped by police for speeding and improper lane use Nov. 13 and agreed to a breathalyzer test that determined he was driving drunk. He was cited and released.
- Joel M. Garza, 46, was arrested for drinking and driving after a witness saw him hit his apartment building on S. Madison St. and walk into his apartment.
Burglary
- A victim said on Nov. 11 in the KLM parking lot, she found that her wallet — containing a driver’s license, credit cards and insurance card — was missing from her car. She told the police she couldn’t remember if she’d locked her car. After the burglary, the unknown person cashed three checks totaling $2,972.51 using the victim’s identity.
