Karate Comes to Clarendon Hills Park District

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club Offers Another Year of Instruction

Chicagoland's premier karate school will return to the Clarendon Hills Park District for another season of instruction beginning Tuesday, September 3. All classes meet on Tuesday afternoons and evenings at the Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue. The Illinois Shotokan Karate Club offers lessons for children and teens of all ages and ability levels. Beginning Pre-Karate for boys and girls ages 4-7 will meet from 4:15 p.m. to 5 p.m., while our Continuing Beginning classes for younger children will run from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.. The 5 p.m. class is for participants that have already completed at least two sessions of the beginning program. Youth karate classes for experienced participants ages 7-14 will also be offered at the Clarendon Hills Park District. Our white belt class will run from 5:50 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., while the red and yellow belt session will be held from 6:45 p.m. to 7:40 p.m.. All advanced karate students (blue belt and up) will meet between 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.. Classes run for 15 weeks, between September 3 and December 10. Each class has a $161.00 resident fee ($201.00 non-resident). Registration is being accepted at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Avenue.
