Kinder-Richment Comes to the Clarendon Hills Park District
New Program at the Active Learners Preschool
The pathway of learning at the Clarendon Hills Park District's Active Learners Preschool will take some giant steps forward in the fall with the introduction of a new Kinder-Richment program. Designed for children ages 4 and 5 who are either attending a morning preschool or kindergarten program, this popular class will meet from 12:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. and includes play-based learning centers, music time, outdoor discovery and practice with Fundations - the phonics program used in local school districts. There will even be connections to science, technology, engineering, art and kindergarten academics. Families have a choice of registering for classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons or Monday and Friday afternoons. Children registering for a three day program for the entire school year will pay an $1,800.00 resident fee or a $1,900.00 non-resident fee. Tuition for MWF classes which run from mid-September through mid-December will be $920.00 for residents of Clarendon Hills and $1020.00 for boys and girls living in nearby communities. A Monday and Friday class will also be offered through the Kinder-Richment program. Tuition for the first semester of the school year (September-December) is $700.00 for residents and $800.00 for non-residents.
