Latest Updates On Hinsdale Events And Services

A village official gives information on happenings in town.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale Village President Tom Cauley says his favorite event every year is the Memorial Day parade. Sadly, he told the Village Board last week, it has been canceled this year because of the pandemic.

Here are some recent updates from the village president on services and events in town:

  • Hinsdale Public Library: It has been closed since March, but it is considering offering curbside service. More information will be coming.
  • Uniquely Thursday: "We may not be able to have Uniquely Thursday, but we have not made a decision on that," Cauley said. The summer concert series is organized by the Hinsdale Chamber of Commerce.
  • Hinsdale Community Pool: "We are still holding out hope for the pool, and we will make a decision on that soon," Cauley said. The village's website says a delayed opening may be possible.
  • Farmers Market: It will likely open in June, Cauley said.
