Lowest Virus Rate Hike In Hinsdale Since Summer
One more death reported in the village in the last week.

HINSDALE, IL — Hinsdale last week saw the lowest rate of increase in new coronavirus cases since the summer, while Clarendon Hill continues its streak of hikes of about 1 percent, according to county agencies
As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 1,323 coronavirus cases since the start of the crisis, up 15 from a week earlier, or a 1.1 percent hike. The previous week's increase was 1.9 percent.
Meanwhile, Clarendon Hills reached 709 as of Sunday, up seven from a week before, or a 1 percent hike.

The number of those who have recovered is unavailable.
Hinsdale saw one new coronavirus-related death in the last week, totaling 60 since the pandemic's beginning, according to county agencies. Clarendon Hills' number of deaths remained the same at 10. Hinsdale's number is largely driven by a coronavirus outbreak at ManorCare Hinsdale nursing home earlier in the crisis.

As of Sunday, Hinsdale had 75 coronavirus cases per thousand people. The figure compares to 68.6 in Darien, 68.7 in La Grange Park, 71.7 in Western Springs, 77.1 in DuPage County, 78.2 in Elmhurst, 81 in Clarendon Hills, 85.7 in suburban Cook County, 90.4 in Burr Ridge and 95.2 in La Grange (including unincorporated La Grange Highlands).

As of Sunday, Illinois' coronavirus case count increased to 1,172,824, up .9 percent from a week earlier. The coronavirus has claimed the lives of 20,234 state residents.
Nationally, 27.8 million people have caught the virus, up 1.4 percent from the week before. A total of 494,008 people have died from the virus in the United States.
