'Older Man' Tries to Lure Clarendon Hills Boy into SUV: Police

The boy is 11 years old.

An 11-year-old boy from Clarendon Hills twice rejected an "older man’s" offer to drive him home Wednesday evening in a child luring incident, police said.

According to the Chicago Tribune’s reporting, the incident occurred around 7:20 p.m. at Walker and Harris avenues and was reported at 7:31 p.m. The boy said the man who approached him that evening was driving an SUV.

After saying he didn’t want a ride home once, the boy reportedly told police the man asked him again. After that attempt, the boy said he ran home.
