Patriotic Theme In Clarendon Hills
Float is part of the park district's "Bringing the Parks To You" campaign.
CLARENDON HILLS, IL — The Clarendon Hills Park District continues to bring its "Bringing the Parks To You" campaign. On Wednesday, a patriotic float traversed Clarendon Hills throughout the day. A Statue of Liberty theme was developed.
The "Bringing the Parks To You" activity is designed to reach out to the community and boost spirits during the state's shelter-in-place order due to the coronavirus crisis, according to the park district. All of these special events have been developed and carried out by the recreation staff at the park district. Members of the parks maintenance crew helped to build the three trailers, which have made appearances in recent weeks.
