Theft Over $300
Someone took a female's phone and $20 from her bag on the 100 block of North Oak Street. The incident occurred between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. She located her phone outside of a restroom, but was still missing the $20, according to police.

Theft at Hinsdale Central
A 15-year-old boy was charged with theft after he was found to have a jacket that was reported lost or stolen. The boy admitted to taking the jacket at 10:54 a.m. at Hinsdale Central High School on the 5500 block of South Grant Street. He was referred to a juvenile diversion program.

Identity Theft
A woman reported that someone used her identity to obtain employment. The incident occurred between Jan. 1, 2012 and April 1, 2012. The woman was alerted by the IRS that her social security number was used for employment and she had not paid taxes on the income.
