'Unusual' Flooding Hits Part of Hinsdale: Village

In March, officials launched study on flooding solutions in this area.

HINSDALE, IL — The northeastern part of Hinsdale suffered from "extensive" flooding beginning about 1 p.m. Saturday, the village said in a statement Monday.

The village said it was working with its engineering firm, HR Green, and the Illinois Tollway to determine the cause of "this unusual event."

"While we do not have many answers right now, please know that we are doing what we can to identify the cause of the flooding," the village said.
