Woman Embezzled From Hinsdale Real Estate Firm: Cops

She surrendered herself to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

HINSDALE, IL — An employee of a now-defunct Hinsdale real estate agency stole more than $10,000 from her employer over three years, according to a Hinsdale police report.

Wanda L. Bickerstaff, 62, of Downers Grove, was arrested on a felony charge of theft. The theft took place from January 2015 to March 2018 at Chris Crawford Ltd, which was once at 22 W. First St., police said. The case was listed as an embezzlement.

An arrest warrant for Bickerstaff was issued April 20. Eight days later, she surrendered herself to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office, police said.
