2 Brothers Found Dead in Lockport Were Shot: Coroner

The construction workers' bodies were found in an under-construction townhouse in Sagebrook Homes development.

LOCKPORT, IL — Officials Wednesday released the identities of two brothers found dead in a town house under construction. Each suffered a single gunshot wound, according to the Will County coroner.

The bodies of Marco Ceja Sanchez, 37, and 36-year-old David Ceja Sanchez, both of Aurora, were found Tuesday morning in the building in the 16100 block of Coneflower Drive. The bodies were discovered by a construction foreman; both men are construction workers.

Their deaths are being investigated as a double homicide — the city's first murders in years, according to Lockport police. The police chief told reporters investigators believe the slayings are an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community. Security video footage from the neighborhood has been obtained and is being reviewed by police, according to authorities.
