13-Year-Old Struck By Bullet In Car: Homewood Police

HOMEWOOD, IL — A 13-year-old was shot in Homewood Monday night, according to the Homewood Police Department.

Police said officers responded to the 18800 block of Castle Road around 10:30 p.m. after a report of shots being fired was made. Police said that upon arrival, they found a 13-year-old inside a car who was struck by the gunfire.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
