"We are so excited to once again have our Walk of Hope in person after last year’s may challenges. What is amazing about the Walk of Hope is the incredible joy and amazing energy that these survivors and their loved ones bring to the event," said Sue Armato, Executive Director. "I love that at this Walk of Hope we have found a way to be together and celebrate in spite of the trauma of cancer, all while raising critical funds to support the life changing and saving work CSC does."

According to the center, participants may walk in person at two starting times, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., to maintain social distancing guidelines. Start times are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The walk is expected to follow a designated route through historic downtown Homewood.

"New this year, the Walk of Hope will feature a Pinwheel Garden of Hope for walkers to honor survivors or remember ones lost to cancer. Pinwheels are available for purchase for $10 and will be displayed at your chosen walk location," said The Center's Development Associate for Special Events, Karen Bruck.

According to the center, the Jack & Jill of America South Suburban Chicago Chapter has assembled a team to walk together at the event.
