Retail Theft
Andre Johnson, 56, of Blue Island was charged with retail theft at 6:33 p.m. on June 21 at Walmart, 17550 S. Halsted St. Johnson concealed items and exited the store without making payment for the merchandise, which had a total retail value of $553.48.

Criminal Trespass To Property
Benjamin Levert, 34, of the 19000 block of Jodi Terrace in Homewood was charged with criminal trespass to real property and possession of drug paraphernalia at 7:55 p.m. on June 25 at Walgreens, 820 W. 183rd St. Levert, having been given prior notice that he was not allowed on the property, was outside the store asking patrons for money. Levert had in his possession a glass pipe, commonly used to ingest controlled substances.

DUI
Mitchell Carnes, 27, of Plainfield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after a traffic crash at 10:17 p.m. on June 25 at 183rd Street and Dixie Highway.
