Gun Pulled At James Hart School Sports Complex Game: Police

HOMEWOOD, IL — A quick look at recent arrests made in the Homewood area, provided by the Homewood Police Department in the month of June.

These charges are merely accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

  • At 7:59 p.m., police responded to the James Hart School Sports Complex — 18220 Morgan St. — in Homewood, after a report of a fight was called in. Police said Dylan Reeves, 23, of Glenwood, pulled out a holstered gun after a physical fight at a basketball game. He was charged with the unlawful use of a weapon.

  • At 1:13 a.m., police reported that Crystal M. Gholson, 25, of Tinley Park was pulled over for a traffic stop, before fleeing and crashing into a pole on the 17800 Block of Harwood. When police searched her car, they say an open bottle of alcohol, suspected cannabis and other controlled substances were found inside. She was taken into custody and charged with disobeying a traffic sign, disobeying a traffic signal, obstructing justice, no valid insurance, fleeing and eluding a peace officer, illegal transportation of cannabis in a vehicle, illegal transportation of open alcohol and possession of a controlled substance.

  • At 12:14 a.m., police reported that Jalin Dugar, 19, of Flossmoor, was stopped for speeding in the Dixie and Hutchison area. Police said an open bottle of alcohol was found on the floor of the car. Officers asked Dugar to get out of his car, but he refused and fled the scene, later being found outside his residence, where he was taken into custody, police said. He was charged with speeding 26mph – 35mph over posted limit, disobeying a traffic control signal, fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle, operation of a vehicle without a registration and illegal possession of liquor by person under 21 years of age.
