Suburban Doctor Used Cat Saliva and Vodka to Make His Own Vaccines for Kids: Officials

The Flossmoor, Illinois, doctor was mixing up the vaccines at his office, which was a mess, officials said.

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A Flossmoor doctor who created kids' vaccines using cat saliva and vodka had his license urgently suspended Wednesday.

"In the interest of public safety," the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation stepped in and yanked Dr. Ming Te Lin's license, CBS reports.

The doctor told investigators he's been mixing "alternative vaccinations" for children at his Flossmoor office. He would add alcohol and cat saliva collected from a cat's mouth. He also used something called a "WaveFront 2000" to "detoxify vaccinations from mercury," according to the report.

Investigators found an "unsterile office" and "a box filled with vials and tubes that (Lin) was using to make his own vaccinations."

None of the methods are permitted by the Food and Drug Administration. Lin is set to appear before the Medical Disciplinary Board on Oct. 11.
