Flossmoor Man, 20, Dies from Gunshot Wound

FLOSSMOOR, IL — A 20-year-old man died Wednesday after being shot outside a home in Flossmoor the previous night.

Demarcus Roberts was shot on the 3900 block of 189th Street about 10:50 p.m. Tuesday. Police were called to the scene and found Roberts with a gunshot wound to the back.

Roberts, of the 3800 block of 188th Street in Flossmoor, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Police believe the shooting was an isolated incident, and the victim appears to have been targeted. No suspects were in custody as of Thursday morning.
