Flossmoor School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Flossmoor is August 24. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Flossmoor School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/6: Pre-K/ECC Open House
• 9/20: Early Release (School Improvement)

October

• 10/6: Parent Visitation Day
• 10/9: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/27: End of First Quarter
• 10/31: Early Release (School Improvement)

November

• 11/16: End of First Trimester
• 11/20 - 11/21: No School for Students (Parent/Teacher Conferences)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/6: Early Release (School Improvement)
• 12/22: No School (Winter Break Begins)

January

• 1/8: No School for Students (Teacher Institute Day)
• 1/9: Students Return
