Flossmoor Youth Gets $2 Million Bail for Brother's Murder

Flossmoor's Michael Tigue is being held on bond in Flossmoor's first homicide case in 30 years.

A 15-year-old Flossmoor boy charged with the murder of his 25-year-old brother is being held on a $2 million bond, reports the Sun-Times Media.

Prosecutors claimed that Michael Tigue said he had been bullied by his older brother, Steven, according to a Sun Times Media report. Early Friday morning, as Steven was home visiting for the holidays, Michael attacked him with a golf club. When Steven wrestled the club from his brother's hands, Michael drew a steak knife and stabbed him to death.

Michael Tigue was arrested at the scene and charged as an adult later Friday afternoon, police said. His next court appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 24.
