Flossmoor's Oliv Blu Advances On 'The Voice'

FLOSSMOOR, IL — Flossmoor's Oliv Blu fought a tough battle on The Voice Tuesday night, and although team leader John Legend chose her opponent, Blu came out unscathed and will keep competing after Blake Shelton "stole" her for his team.

Blu went head-to-head with teammate Kayslin Victoria in a duet of “Location” by Khalid. Legend said it was a tough choice, and chose Victoria instead.

The 21-year-old Homewood-Flossmoor High School graduate sings here at home with an artists' collective known as Freesole.

Whatever the outcome, Blu said told Patch, she'll plan to take her deep breaths, say a little prayer and have some fun.

"Whatever happens — when you go out to have fun, you win, because you had fun," she said.

The Live Cross Battles air the next two weeks on Monday and Tuesday nights, April 15, April 16, April 22 and April 23. All the artists that survived their battle rounds will be seated on stage. Blu will find out with the rest of America when she's chosen to go head to head with an opposing artist on live television.
