Chicago Federation Of Labor Endorses Glenwood Across Parties Candidate

GLENWOOD — Glenwood Village President candidate Miriam Slaughter has been endorsed by the Chicago Federation of Labor (CFL) for the April 6, 2021 municipal election.
“I am looking forward to representing the interests of working families, which always becomes a challenge during a time when all levels of government are facing financial difficulties and resources are scarce,” said Slaughter. “The Glenwood Across Parties team will be protecting the interests of the working families of Glenwood while protecting the rights of workers throughout Glenwood.
The CFL contacted Miriam Slaughter after vetting her and other candidates through a rigorous examination of their background and positions on the important issues facing local government.

“You demonstrated a strong understanding and respect for the issues that are important to working families and labor unions. We encourage you to leverage our endorsement to further your campaign. Thank you for participating in our endorsement process and we wish you the best of luck in your campaign,” wrote CFL representative Lauren Jovel.
Slaughter is running as head of the Glenwood Across Parties team of candidates which includes Andrea Watkins For Village Clerk and Brent Thompson, Anna Davis and Vondra Brown for three open Village Trustee spots.
