Gun Found During Traffic Stop: Homewood Police

Homewood police said a handgun was found during a traffic stop on Sept. 2.

HOMEWOOD, IL — Homewood police said a handgun was found during a traffic stop at 175th Street and Governors Highway in Homewood.

Police said the handgun was found with 31-year-old Marcus Snodey of Hazel Crest, who was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at 5:19 p.m. on Sept. 2.

Police said Snodey gave a false date of birth when questioned by police. Snodey did not have a FOID or concealed carry permit, according to the report.

Snodey was charged with felony unlawful use of weapon and obstructing identification.
