H-F Badminton Duo Statebound Again
Jenna Bostick and Ashley Deckelman will represent the Vikings in badminton doubles at state for the second year in a row.
HINSDALE, IL -- The Homewood-Flossmoor High School badminton doubles team of seniors Jenna Bostick and Ashley Deckelman will compete at the state level for the second year in a row after a comeback-filled string of success at the Hinsdale Central sectional last week.
Bostick and Deckelman defeated the doubles team from Argo then rallied from losing the first game against both Oak Lawn and Lyons Township to win both matches. They are one of four doubles teams from the Hinsdale sectional to advance to the 2017 IHSA State Badminton Tournament that will be held this weekend at Eastern Illinois University.
The pair are recognized as the most decorated badminton players in H-F history, having advanced to the atate level in 2016 as juniors as well.

Heading into state this year, the two have won 17 of 20 matches and are 32-17 overall.
As a team at the Hinsdale Central Sectional, H-F finished third with seven points.
