H-F Vikings Youth Hockey Coach Honored By Blackhawks
Dan Deverick was invited on the ice at the United Center and given a plaque to recognize his work with the Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings.

FLOSSMOOR, IL - A Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings Youth Hockey Association coach won the Coach of the Month award for March, taking home the monthly honor that's given through a partnership between the Chicago Blackhawks and BMO Harris Bank. Dan Deverick was on hand at the United Center during the Blackhawks game against the Winnipeg Jets on March 29 to receive the honor.
Deverick volunteers his time to help H-F hockey. He began coaching after he enrolled his son in ice skating lessons and "loves to watch the players grow as teammates and hockey players," according to a news release from BMO Harris Bank.
The Coach of the Month award is one of three given out by the team and the bank "to honor youth hockey coaches and players each month for their outstanding achievements both on the ice and in their communities."
