Help Someone In Need: Donate Blood In Homewood On MLK Day
The Versiti blood Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 in Homewood.
HOMEWOOD, IL — Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood, according to the American Red Cross. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses and traumatic injuries.
Lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation. Will that donor be you? If you're looking for an easy way to help someone in the Homewood community and surrounding area, consider donating blood in honor of this year's Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service.
Sponsored by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Chi Lambda Lambda Chapter, the Versiti blood Drive will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 18 at the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District Irwin Community Center. The address is 18120 Highland Ave in Homewood.
