Homewood Fire Looking To Hire: See Requirements

The Village of Homewood is accepting applications for firefighters paramedics.

HOMEWOOD, IL — The Village of Homewood announced that the Homewood Fire Department is looking for paramedics and firefighters to hire.

According to the village, if you are a Homewood resident the village will cover the cost of all training that is needed upon starting. Training is paid, and may even include basic Firefighter Academy, EMT/Paramedic training.

The rates offered are $20 per hour, and nearly 80 percent of employees with the Homewood Fire Department are medical in nature, according to the village.

  • U.S. citizen
  • Over 18 years of age and under 35 years of age
  • Possess a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
  • Valid driver's license
